YouTube has sparked a social revolution by providing people with a platform to connect, inform and inspire others across the globe. From politics to pop culture, there's something for everyone on the site. By creating a unique place for ordinary people to tell their stories, YouTube has enabled a new breed of artists to emerge. On one incredible evening, five popular YouTube filmmakers will come together for a candid discussion about their experiences, triumphs, and challenges. Members of the YouTube engineering team at Google Santa Monica will also be presenting on what YouTube is working on in Southern California.
You are invited to an exclusive event at Hollywood's historic El Rey Theatre hosted by YouTube and Google Santa Monica. Please join us for an evening of cocktails and conversation with the filmmakers. There will also be plenty of Googlers and YouTubers in attendance to chat with you about what it's like behind-the-scenes. We hope you will join us for this extraordinary celebration.

YouTube API
Google's YouTube announced the expansion its APIs to allow more direct access to the YouTube service.
The updates to the APIs(application programming interfaces), will give developers deeper access into YouTube for video uploading.
This is a great move and we support continued expansion of the APIs.
The pressure from competing products will continued add presure to Google to continue to make improvements.
With these sorts of API tools you will be able to make your own YouTube service.
