MySpace Rolls Developer Platform
Los Angeles-based social networking web site MySpace said this morning that it has launched a new software development program, targeted at helping developers connect their applications into MySpace. According to MySpace, its new MySpace Developer Platform Site will allow developers to connect and laern about, build, test, and deploy MySpace applications.
MySpace said it will provide three sets of APIs to developers, including an OpenSocial API, Flash interfaces, and REST API calls. The firm said the new platform will be rolled out to users in March, when MySpace users will be able to start adding applications to their home and profile pages.
