The City of South Pasadena, in partnership with State Senator Gil Cedillo and Assemblymember Anthony Portantino, will be hosting the 2nd Annual Clean-Air Car Show and Film Festival on
Sunday, July 20, 2008 11am – 6 pm.
The success of last year’s inaugural event demonstrated that the public is eager to learn about the new technologies that can lead to cleaner, more healthful air for people and pets, help reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil, address growing concerns over global warming, and strengthen our national and economic security. Like last year, the show will be part of an effort to promote cleaner, more efficient alternatives to the gasoline-powered internal combustion engine by showcasing emerging alternative vehicles like Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, Electric, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Ethanol, Biodiesel, etc.
Health, Environmental, and other private and public organizations and groups are invited to host booths that will provide valuable information on issues and products ranging from Global Warming and harmful health effects to solar power and sustainable living. Free movies, centering on environmental themes, are planned to be shown throughout the day at the historic Rialto Theatre. In addition, the popular mini-seminars on environmental topics will once again be programmed into the Stage Tent.
Sponsorship levels are available from $500 up to $5000 and all include exhibit space.
