Albuquerque New Mexico Trip August 2008 Blog

We are getting ready to leave Albuquerque. The weather is very warm and there are storms brewing in the sky above.

During this trip we traveled to various parts of New Mexico.

Places we visited:

The Very Large Array -

Pie Town - we went to the cafe but it was closed, this is the response we got from Michael, the owner of the cafe.

We wish Michael a speedy recovery and that he can find some help with the cafe.

Very stormy weather with rainbows, sheets of rain and lightning and thunder
we saw prong horn deer.

Jemez Springs
El Malpais
Sandstone Overlook
Natural Arch
Grants - drove through very quickly

Corrales - tried to make the farmer's market.
Lunch at Nate and Hannah's.

I worked on a dam on the Jemez River in back of Anne Bradley's home.

We tried to located Heidi's Raspberry farm but apparently the farm is not open for picking until something in late August. Here's the info I received from Heidi's yesterday.

We will be back in October.
