I have just experienced very frustrating conversations with two of Ameriprise's representatives, Randy Muesbeck and Scott Gehrke (claim #969158). Recently, one of Ameriprise's insured clients backed into my Ford Ranger while it was at a stoplight. The damage was minimal - a misaligned front bumper and a brakeline that became disconnected as a result of the impact. I had the Ranger towed to a nearby garage, and they fixed the brakeline for $114.48. I am only requesting out-of-pocket reimbursement from Ameriprise, but Ameriprise is saying that they refuse to pay for the repairs, as there is no "proof" that the impact caused the brakeline to disconnect, despite the fact that the truck couldn't be driven after the impact because it no longer had any brakes! I'm doing my best to take a reasonable approach to this, and I just want to be made whole. I am deciding my next steps, but in the meantime, my advice to anyone reading this is to BE WARY OF DOING BUSINESS WITH AMERIPRISE.
