In July, the company moved to a new 12,600-square-foot facility at 81 W. Bellevue Dr. in Pasadena to allow for laboratory expansion and pilot-production capacity.

Superprotonic, whose technology is currently being tested by customers, employs 15 workers and hopes to bring its products to market within 18 months.

Superprotonic is an energy technology company established to market and commercialize the innovative solid acid fuel cell (SAFC) technology developed and patented by the company's founders at the California Institute of Technology.
